Ayzine #7 – Reflecting on 2009 and plans for 2010.

Dear *name*
We’re now well and truly into 2010 and hopefully it’s been a good year for you so far (if not, keep positive, it will change!). We’ve been reflecting on progress since Aylis.com went live with its first site (Nodus Awards) back in Jan 2009. Rather than waffling, here’s what we identified as our top achievements…
1. We now have five live websites (4 built and one inherited) with three more planned to be launched before the end of the year.
2. Despite starting with zero traffic, we’ve accumulated 106,000 unique visitors and 288,000 page loads across all sites from natural traffic (unpaid).
3. This newsletter “Ayzine” has close to 200 subscribers.
It would be fair to say that not everything touched has turned to gold but we’re really pleased with the progress made so far. 2010 should be an exciting year with some really cool sites in the pipeline.
The “final” format for Nodus Awards has been in full swing for a while and it’s performing much better than the previous version. We’d still like to encourage more public evaluations and will be taking another look at this later in the year but with 129 sites, 238 public evaluations and 427 logins to the members area, it is going in the right direction. If you know someone who owns a website, we’d really appreciate you letting them know about Nodus
On the 3rd of February we launched a new site called Alloywheelfinder.com. It’s unlikely to be of interest because it’s very niche but if you have a passion for modifying cars (told you it was a long shot), this site is for you. Aftermarket alloys can really enhance the look of your car but most wheel pictures are glossy, close-up studio shots making it hard to get right. The site provides wheel ideas for hundreds of people and allows lucky owners to show off their pride and joy! 60 people have uploaded a picture so far.

And finally… We haven’t announced this anywhere else yet but our next site to go live is TraceBay.com. TraceBay will provide eBay Members with an easy-to-use web application, designed to increase sales. It has big potential and we’re very excited about it. Prior to launch late next month, we want to give a small number of people pre-release access to gain early feedback.
You can read more at: http://www.tracebay.com/
We hope you enjoyed this email, if you have any comments/suggestions please let us know!
Warmest Regards
The Aylis Team
